Even the toughest challenges are a chance for growth.


After working with Gmund across a number of projects through the years, they lost their primary distributor in Europe, and the time came to completely reimagine their website.

We were tasked with translating a tactile product into an online experience that enhances its unique qualities. We established a refined visual framework: typography, layout, imagery, and interaction principles, designed to feel premium while remaining highly usable. Working side-by-side with Loop in Austria, we developed a production-ready, scalable system that took inspiration from physical swatch books to focus their product discovery navigation around color.


Instead of risking a significant portion of sales, Gmund built a new direct-to-consumer platform—one that supports both inspiration and conversion.

Guided by color

Paper is often chosen by feel, finish—and especially color. To mimic physical browsing behavior, we created a color bar nav to serve as a main entry point to Gmund’s new site. This intuitive way to explore was a breakthrough from typical ecommerce models.
